Play a Top 25 U.S. course on Golf Advisor – El Campeón (#9).
There are two championship courses at Mission Inn, one of Florida’s top golf resorts, that provide exceptional challenge and play. The golf experience is truly remarkable from the scenery—hills that roll and pitch, mature pine and magnolia trees that tower, eagles and ospreys that fly overhead. The terrain of this part of Central Florida, originally orange groves, provides up to 85 ft. elevation changes and a peaceful ambiance void of fairway houses and condos.
Mission Inn’s two championship courses have assembled an impressive list of accolades and achievements, having hosted over 20 consecutive years of NCAA Championships, 8 years of Florida State High School Championships, US Open and US Amateur qualifying, FSGA Championships, and many acclaimed junior and college tournaments. El Campeón is honored to be selected by the PGA TOUR as the U.S. qualifying venue for the PGA Latinoamerican and Canadian / Mackenzie Tours. These events will be held each Spring at Mission Inn. Additionally, El Campeón is the ranked #1 course in Florida since 2012 by Golf Channel’s GolfAdvisor. Mission Inn is also a favorite commercial filming location, having hosted several PGA TOUR and Golf Channel specials, together with international golf advertisers such as Callaway, Dick’s Sports, CDW, Astellas Pharmaceuticals, Grip Boost, and Audi.
Spend the day challenging one of Florida’s oldest course, El Campeón known for his steep hills and required shotmaking skills or play among the rolling hills and sweeping fairways of the Las Colinas Course. Both are quality 18-hole championship courses that have earned their share of accolades from members and resort guests alike. Come and stay over as a resort guest on specially designed golf packages or drive in with your friends for a remarkable 36 holes of golf and lunch at Nicker’s restaurant!
Golfers looking to hone their skills can practice on the oversized golf range, large putting green or chipping areas or enroll in one of three on-site golf schools. Our professional, friendly staff is at the ready and knowledgeable PGA professionals are available to help lower your score and there is even a strength and conditioning coach available to you with advanced reservations. After your round, explore our extensive pro shop; relax at Nicker’s, our clubhouse pub and restaurant, or maybe indulge at Spa Marbella .
Las Colinas
Classic, old-architecture style that demands proper shot placement.
Designed by Gary Koch and built in 1992, Las Colinas (Spanish for “the hills”) is an 18-hole championship course that offers quite a different challenge from El Campeón. It is an inland links design with generous, wide-open fairways, gentle rolling hills and large, undulating greens. Play a Top power ranked U.S. course on GolfAdvisor – Las Colinas (#3) – April 2017.
Las Colinas was nominated as “Best New Resort Course” by Golf Digest in 1992, named “Best Places to Play – 4 stars” by Golf Digest, and has received “Top Fairways” recognition by Golf for Women. Its signature hole is “Alligator Alley”, the par 5, 12th hole that spans 493 yards along a tree-lined fairway and requires absolute accuracy from tee-to-green.
